Finally kicking it into gear!
Things have been standing in my way of getting on the treadmill!!! At least that is what I thought til I got a nice reminder from my uncle to just do it already. I was letting things get in the way of what I needed and wanted to accomplish. That is not O.K. After a wonderful reminder from my uncle that getting on the treadmill would make everything else in my life easier and that I would be able to focus more and gentle nudging from my amazing husband, I finally got on the treadmill today. Spent 15 minutes on it and walked .55 miles with an average speed of 2.5...not bad for a start, but what I am most proud of is the fact that I didn't feel at all overwhelmed or like I was gonna puke when I got off; in fact I felt like I could go longer. But I decided to take it easy and ease into doing more time. The 15 minutes went by so quickly. I just have to remind myself how quickly that does go by...I have 15 minutes x 13 times to go to make the finish line of the half marathon. I know I can do this, especially with all the wonderful support I have in my corner. I feel amazing! I even felt a tiny bit taller walking from the exercise room back to the apartment. This is awesome!
